Handwriting and Brain

We are writing Chinese characters now;-) I don’t want you to be alarmed that I demand them to be able to write Chinese! In reality, your children may already have too much to do after their real school for this. The purpose of doing some character writing training is simply for brain development (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704631504575531932754922518.html). Hi, if in the end they happen to remember how to write a few Chinese characters, it is all bonus!

Thanks! Let me know if you have questions.

After-school Chinese immersion class for kids

9/6/2011

Our orientation and the little warm-up class went all right. It was surprising that kids were not afraid of speaking Chinese at all. Their pronunciation was great. We learned Lao3shi1 and counted 1 to 10. Most kids got their Chinese nick names. On Thursday, we will review what was taught, and learn: I, you, and he/she; to be, student, and sing a song about friends.

Parents, please let me know if you have any questions and/or request.
